Human health is Cotting's priority. In the near future all fabrics from the Cotting range will be engineered on water-based formulations in order to avoid using solvents.
Cotting fabrics do not contain heavy metals, formaldehyde, Azo-dyes that may not be used in textile products according to current European regulations.
The human ecological safety of textiles is very important for Cotting. In order to provide real benefits to its customers and end users, all fabrics from the Cotting range have the Oekotex label.
Cotting is also concerned by smoke emissions, that are recaptured and recycled.
In respect of new European Community regulations (REACH) on chemicals and their use, Cotting is constantly searching for new raw materials which could reduce product impact on the environment. Therefore Cotting has introduced a new chemicals strategy, only using those chemicals approved by these new regulations.
The aim of REACH is to improve the protection of human health and the environment through better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances.
